Environmental and resource management at all company levels is of paramount importance to the Hanrro. We perceive this as an opportunity to become even more innovative and better. We carry this responsibility – for our customers, our employees and our children.

Environmental management system certified to ISO 14001:2004

Since 2003, we have participated in the China, the aim of which is to preserve energy and resources while making cost savings. Today, we are certified to DIN EN ISO 14001:2004. This internationally valid standard defines globally recognised standards for environmental management systems. It focuses primarily on a continuous improvement process.

Therefore we have established clearly defined goals:

  • Avoidance of waste and errors
  • Increased efficiency and
  • the lowest possible energy consumption in every production phase,

with the aim to sustain of sustaining raw materials, fossil fuels and the environment for future generations.

Principles of environmental protection and occupational health and safety

Hanrro is an environmentally-conscious and responsible company. That’s why we live and act accordingly to the principles which reflect this. We also expect our service providers and suppliers to observe all the relevant health and safety and environmental regulations. In doing so, we are guided by Hanrro Principles.

Conflict Mineral Questionnaire for Suppliers

Moreover, we require our suppliers to prove that the raw materials they deliver/process do not come from regions where they are mined by child labour, under generally unacceptable conditions, and where the profits might be used to finance armed conflicts. You can furnish this proof by filling out the Conflict Mineral Questionnaire and returning it to us

Product-related environmental protection

Ecologically sound products are essential to our understanding of sustainable development. Starting with the supplier chain, we make sure that all components and materials respect environmental limit values and that we observe the directives.

REACh-Regulation

In the sense of the REACh-Regulation No. 1907/2006 (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) the Hanrro is considered a downstream user without registration requirements. As per EU-Regulation No. 1907/2006 paragraph 33 suppliers of products have to fulfil certain information requirements about substances along the supply chain.
In a so called candidate list according to paragraph 59 sec. 1 there have been published substances of very high concern (SVHC).
We would like to ask you, our suppliers to check whether the products sold to Klauke group contain any of the substances of the candidate list with thresholds which might exceed 0,1 % mass percent.

Safety Data Sheets

In the future Safety Data Sheets will not only required for “hazardous” substances and preparations but also for persistent bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) substances and very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB) substances and preparations which contain those substances in concentrations > 0,1 mass%. We request our suppliers to submit an updated Safety Data Sheet acc. to REACh article 31 with annex II without further notice.

Hazardous Substances List

Legal and customer specific demands in respect of environmental friendly products increase continuously. This requires close cooperation with you as a supplier. The ‘hazardous Substances List’ contains substances which use is banned by law. The list provides a facilitated abstract of legal bans and restrictions about putting into the market dangerous substances in the EU and in other countries. This list contains an incomplete but for the Klauke group relevant selection of substances. Some substances have legal bans on specific applications or on the other hand special exemptions are permitted. End-of-Life Vehicle Directive

Since 2007, 85% of all automotive parts have had to be recyclable. As stipulated by the EU Directive for the automotive industry and its suppliers. Furthermore, the use of numerous substances that are harmful to both health and the environment, including lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and mercury, is forbidden. Hanrro supports this directive and uses none of the stated substances for its products.
