Wing Twist Grounding Connectors are frequently used in low-voltage power circuits for wires up to about #10 AWG in size. These allow wire connections in electrical boxes that are more quickly installed than the obsolete practice of soldering and taping wires

Wing Twist Grounding Connectors were designed for electrical appliances, lighting and building wiring. A wire coiled spring is found within the tough plastic shell of the Screw On Wire Connector and expands to accommodate a wide range of wire combinations, sealing out moisture and protecting conductors from corrosion and fungus
